THE 10TH INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC PROCUREMENT CONFERENCE KAMPALA, UGANDA, AUGUST 12–14, 2026

THEME: Forging a New Paradigm in Public Procurement & Supply Chain: The Convergence of Theory, Law, Technology, Sustainability and Governance

We are pleased to announce that the Uganda Management Institute (UMI), in partnership with the International Public Procurement Conference (IPPC) Secretariat, Makerere University Business School (MUBS), the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) in Beijing, China, the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) in Uganda, and the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), along with CIPS-Uganda and the Institute of Public Procurement of Uganda (IPPU), will jointly host the 10th International Public Procurement Conference (IPPC10) from August 12-14, 2026, at Hotel Africana in Kampala, Uganda.

 

The IPPC is one of the largest international public procurement conferences globally dedicated to academic discussion and practitioner engagement. Over the last 21 years, these events have continued to enhance the IPPC profile by attracting participants from more than 100 countries. Therefore, the primary objective of IPPC10 is to strengthen global public procurement effectiveness and integrity by fostering high-quality, policy-relevant research and evidence-based discussions on transparency, accountability, and value for money. It is hoped that the forthcoming IPPC10 event in Kampala, Uganda, will attract participants from even more countries.

 

The target delegates for the Conference are: academicians, researchers, industrial participants, policy-makers, development partners, civil society actors, practitioners, public and private sector officials, postgraduate students, and sponsors. The conference will accept scientific papers, technical reports, and case studies, including practitioners’ PowerPoint case presentations, in the areas of Public Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Authors/ delegates may consider any of the sub-themes listed below, but need not limit their options to these sub-themes:

BEST MANUSCRIPT AWARDS

There will be three best manuscript awards that will be presented at the Conference: 1st prize: US $3,000; 2nd prize: US $2,000 and 3rd prize: US $1,000.

PUBLICATION OF PAPERS AND CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

All papers are peer reviewed and will be published in three types:

  • Referred to the International Journal of Public Procurement
  • Book (published by Springer or Emerald)
